UWC Needs-Based Scholarship
The UWC Needs-Based Scholarship offered by the UWC Singapore National Committee includes
- A place at a United World College - a two-year educational programme in which the successful candidate will learn the UWC ethos through engagement in extra-curricular activities, social service, and discussions and debates. The successful candidate will complete the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, which is an internationally recognised university entrance qualification.
- A needs-based scholarship to attend the UWC school. The amount of the scholarship depends on the candidate's family's financial situation. If a candidate's parents are able to pay part of the fees themselves, they will be expected to do so. However, a candidate's financial situation should not be a reason not to apply!
Do note that
- At present, the UWC Singapore National Committee does not select students for entry to the United World College of South East Asia in Singapore.
- The Committee does take an applicant's interest in particular colleges into consideration when matching successful candidates to scholarship places. However, we are unable to guarantee choice of a specific college to candidates during the selection process.
